Best Specialized Allez Road Bike In 2023

 September 19, 2022

By  m bhatia

The Specialized Allez range of road bikes consist of some of the most advanced aluminum bikes ever manufactured. The full range is developed with the American manufacturer's revolutionary D'Aluisio Smartweld Technology. This aids in shaving weight, increases stiffness, improves the overall ride quality and offers the perfect combination of compliance and responsiveness. The Allez range has something to offer everyone; from short casual rides to racing rapidly.

How We Reviewed

We tested 12 samples of the Specialized Allez range and researched 426 reviews given by buyers on Specialized Allez Bikes forums.

After several days of research we came to the conclusion what features are driving customer satisfaction and what features couldn’t. Considering the ride quality, weight of the bike, and technology used, we recommend the following Specialized Allez Bikes in 2023.

Here are the Best Specialized Allez Road Bike In 2023

1. Specialized Allez Sprint LTD - SRAM Force eTap AXS

Allez Sprint LTD - SRAM Force ETap AXS

Allez Sprint LTD features the most complex alloy head tube ever made and integrated cables that make it 41 seconds faster than its previous model. With its one-piece downtube and bottom bracket, it delivers the ruthless efficiency of alloy with unprecedented stability.

What We Like

  • One of the best aluminum frames available
  • Excellent finishing kit
  • Great handling
  • Clean cable routing with no compromise in front-end adjustability

What We Don't Like

  • Average tyres and wheels
  • Weight penalty versus similarly priced carbon bikes
  • Not the best value

Final Verdict:

With identical geometry to the Tarmac and aerodynamic tube shapes borrowed directly from the WorldTour-level carbon bike, the Allez Sprint LTD can compete in many ways with its more expensive sibling in the real world. It’s carrying some extra weight as compared to its carbon sibling, and the average tires and wheels specced on this build don’t get the most out of the frameset, however, the 2023 Allez Sprint LTD is unquestionably one of the best aluminum Specialized Allez road bikes available today.

2. Specialized Allez Sprint Comp

2018 Allez Sprint Comp

For the build, this Allez Sprint Comp features Shimano 105 shifting, DT R460 alloy wheels, and a comfortable Body Geometry Toupé saddle. The Allez Sprint Comp redefines the potential of an alloy bike with all of these features so much that you will forget you're not riding carbon.

2018 Allez Sprint Comp alloy

E5 Premium Aluminum frame with Allez D'Aluisio Smartweld Sprint Technology refocuses weld locations, allowing for more material to be placed where it's required for increased stiffness and compliance where you really need it. Our top-tier S-Works FACT carbon fiber fork offers incredible stiffness and front end steering response, while also effectively absorbing road chatter. The Venge FACT carbon fiber seatpost serves as a stiff, aerodynamic perch for your saddle.

What We Don't Like

  • None, but the aesthetics won't appeal to all

Final Verdict

The ride quality is impressive and the stiffness is right up there compared to some of the most overbuilt carbon wonder bikes. However, its welding isn't the prettiest, and if form must complement function then you might be disappointed, and it also lacks a little when it comes to the finishing kit, but you do receive a decent groupset.

Final Verdict

This 2016 Allez E5 is the very best road bike in its category. The universally great handling is complemented by a clever selection in components to make a terrific bike. It is not the option if you are looking to race, however, this bike is ideal for most everyday cyclists.

Is specialized allez worth it ?

The Specialized Allez has been offering road bikes for new riders for years as it consistently provides a good balance of value and performance. Previous models of the Allez were more race-oriented, but the recent models are less aggressive and therefore more beginner-friendly than before.

Conclusion:

Though not the lightest bike on this list, we recommend the Specialized’s Allez Elite as it is perfect in virtually every area. It’s fast and smooth enough, has good wheels and well-chosen gearing. Also, we would recommend the 2015 Specialized Allez Comp to anyone looking for an alloy bike upgrade or looking to get into road biking. It overall offers great value for money.
