Claire Offley

Experience

Claire is owner and founder of Pure Velo Ltd and is a life long cyclist that lives in Cheshire, England.

As a child, Claire was brought up around bikes and cycling as her grandfather’s brother owned the local bike and repair shop and every member of her family was a keen cyclist.

Taking to road racing at an older age Claire would often be seen racing local events gaining points on her way to becoming a professional racer.

 An unfortunate accident and injury sustained during a race put an end to the dream of cycling for a profession and so Claire focussed on more of the relaxed side of cycling.

Over recent years Claire has cycled in hundreds of sportive events around Europe and has completed many challenges such as London to Paris, Coast to Coast, and in more recent years, Castle to Castle where she rode the entire length of Wales to test the pad for a pair of women’s cycling shorts.

These personal experiences combined with the thoughts and views of her fellow female cyclists lead Claire to start her own cycling business to solve the gaps and problems that she felt women’s cycling kits were lacking and not catering for.

A few years into that journey now and PureVelo.cc has grown to become an International cycling apparel business manufacturing premium quality kits for women.

Claire spends most of her time between her home county of Cheshire but sets off to have road and gravel adventures around the homeland of cycling in Italy.
