Did you know that Gary Turner, a drag racer, founded GT Bicycles in 1972 to build a stronger and lighter BMX bike for his son to race? Little did he know that this endeavor would lead to the birth of GT Bicycles, a brand that would become synonymous with innovation and quality in the world of cycling.
GT mountain bikes are popular for their durability, performance, and innovative design. GT offers everything from hardtails to full-suspension bikes, cross-country bikes to enduro bikes, and downhill bikes.
How to Know Which GT Bike You Need
GT offers a wide range of mountain bikes, each with its own unique features and benefits. So, how do you know which GT bike is right for you?
The first step is to consider the type of riding you plan to do. If you're just starting out, you might want to consider a hardtail mountain bike. Hardtails are more affordable and easier to maintain than full-suspension bikes, and they're still capable of handling a variety of terrain.
If you're planning on doing more technical riding, such as riding on rocky trails or downhill tracks, then you'll want to consider a full-suspension mountain bike. Full-suspension bikes offer more travel and suspension, which can help you absorb bumps and stay in control on rough terrain.
Once you've decided on the type of mountain bike you want, you can start to narrow down your choices by considering other factors such as your budget, skill level, and riding style.
Here are some tips for choosing the right GT bike for you:
Consider your budget. GT bicycles come in a wide range of prices, from affordable entry-level bikes to high-end racing bikes. Set a budget before you start shopping so that you don't overspend.
Think about your skill level. If you're a beginner, you might want to start with a more forgiving bike, such as a hardtail or a trail bike. As you progress, you can upgrade to a more aggressive bike, such as an enduro bike or a downhill bike.
Consider your riding style. Do you prefer to climb hills or descend them? Do you like to ride fast or slow? Choose a bike that is designed for our riding style.
